2003 | 2003 Free food (and Career Fairs) for new physicians  Recognizing the importance of a new physician's first step out of training, CareerMD began bringing leaders from hospitals and healthcare systems nationwide to residents and fellows at their teaching hospitals. From an initial network of 5 events, we now host events in 120 cities. | |
2008 | 2008 Engaging medical students and building connections We began enlisting teams of medical students to run the career fairs in their cities. Today, we engage hundreds of students, fostering connections between students, residents, fellows, and leaders in healthcare. | |
2015 | 2015 Expanding tech-enabled connections CareerMD introduced its series of virtual career fairs for residents and fellows. Tailored to individual specialties and subspecialties, these online events enabled new physicians to log in at their convenience and peruse relevant opportunities. | |
2020 | 2020 CareerMD introduces…taco trucks  When the pandemic forced an interruption of in-person career fairs, we hosted our events outdoors, sending hundreds of food trucks to teaching hospitals across the country. | |
2023 | 2023 What's up, Doc?  Recognizing the growing importance of connecting medical students, residents, fellows and physicians, CareerMD introduced two new features to our community–a blog and a mentor network. |
