About the Organization
HopeSource is a private, non-profit organization that has provided a wide range of human services in Kittitas County since 1966. Our service area stretches from the east side of Snoqualmie Pass to the Columbia River.
We are driven by a philosophy of self-reliance for both the organization and the people we serve. Self-reliance for the organization includes being as efficient and effective as possible with our funds and it means creating a better combination of tax dollars generated by community citizens, unrestricted local funds from donors, and income-producing projects. We continue to make good use of the tax dollars that return to the County in the form of various tax-funded programs, which include the majority of our core programs.
HopeSource's mission is to move people to self-sufficiency by providing access to education, employment, economic development, and vital services. We have grown with the ideology that Hope Changes Everything, a simple statement that truly resonates within the hearts of every member of our team. As such, HopeSource strives to provide an encouraging, accommodating environment for our employees, who we know play many roles beyond those brought into the workplace. We emphasize Courage, Authenticity, Service, Truth, Love, and Effectiveness to promote a cohesive team supported by a genuine work environment and strong work-life balance.
About the Community
HopeSource currently has offices in Ellensburg, Cle Elum, Wenatchee, and Moses Lake, with our eyes still set on growth in the coming years! Spread throughout eastern Washington, our community is vast and varied, with many things to do, places to visit, and people to meet. From the base of the cascades, through forests and across desert plains, there is something for everyone; wineries, sane dunes, lakes, wildlife, hikes, and more. We are proud to call eastern Washington home and look forward to the growth that we anticipate to continue seeing.
