About the Organization
We are a community and state based military organization that serves as a partner to Georgia's Department of Defense. We are an active reserve of the Army. Duty includes one weekend each month, and a culminating event known as Annual Training, which is 15 additional days. We ensure our force of over 11,000 Soldiers stay medically ready to answer the call to serve at home or abroad. Benefits range from annual bonuses, board certification pay, medical school loan repayment, CME reimbursement, Tricare health insurance, low cost life insurance, and access to DoD installations world wide to include recreational centers.
About the Community
Our medical providers hail from communities throughout the state. Our state medical command team is based in Marietta and oversees a Fort Stewart detachment. We have a training support company and the 78th ATC flight physical team in Marietta, and the 48th Brigade medical support company in Macon. We also have Providers working at Battalion and Brigade levels around the state to include Calhoun, Cumming, Augusta, Savannah, Columbus, and in/around greater metro Atlanta.
