About the Organization
UPMC Horizon and UPMC Jameson are 2 community hospitals located in close proximity working collaboratively to provide a regional approach that delivers the best possible healthcare to its residents. In addition to three hospital campuses, we offer satellite diagnostic/imaging locations and affiliated physician offices to serve a broad, 6-county region throughout northwestern PA and northeastern OH.
UPMC Horizon is a full-service, academic community hospital located in northwestern Pennsylvania that's known for its maternity program and teaching program. Located in Mercer County with campuses in Greenville and the Shenango Valley, UPMC Horizon is a teaching hospital with residencies in Family Medicine and General Surgery and hosts year-long medical students.
UPMC Jameson provides many of the same services as its affiliated hospital, UPMC Horizon, but serves a higher level of patient acuity to include interventional cardiology, critical care, bariatric services, etc. UPMC Jameson is located in New Castle, the county seat of Lawrence County.
Both UPMC Jameson and UPMC Horizon have enjoyed major expansions and renovations recently and continue to be the regional leaders in healthcare. Together, with its affiliated tertiary facilities in nearby Pittsburgh and Erie, UPMC Horizon and UPMC Jameson are able to provide a full spectrum of services to its patients.
