About the Organization
MemorialCare Medical Group and Greater Newport Physicians (IPA) partners with MemorialCare Health System as a not-for-profit medical management organization, also known as a medical foundation, which contracts with physician groups to offer patients comprehensive medical care. MemorialCare Medical Group is a physician-based organization established to provide advanced comprehensive, effective and efficient health care. With 29 locations from Long Beach to Dana Point, MemorialCare Medical Group includes more than 250 physicians in the areas of internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, geriatric medicine, cardiology, cardio thoracic surgery, gastroenterology, neurology, pulmonology, physiatry, psychology, rheumatology, sleep medicine and therapeutic acupuncture. Greater Newport Physicians is an Independent Practice Association (IPA) comprised of nearly 500 affiliated physicians and specialists who provide first-rate health care to more than 100,000 Orange County residents. Greater Newport Physicians is a part of the MemorialCare Medical Foundation, and provides medical services exclusively for MemorialCare Medical Foundation. MemorialCare Health System is a not-for-profit integrated delivery system which includes five top hospitals Long Beach Memorial, Miller Childrens Hospital Long Beach, Community Hospital Long Beach, Orange Coast Memorial and Saddleback Memorial in Laguna Hills; medical groups MemorialCare Medical Group, Memorial Prompt Care, and Specialty Physicians of Long Beach; an Independent Practice Association (IPA) Greater Newport Physicians; three MemorialCare HealthExpress retail clinics; and numerous outpatient health centers throughout the Southland.
