Prospect Chartercare Health Partners is the parent of two of Rhode Islands finest community hospitals: Roger Williams Medical Center and Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, which together operates close to 500 licensed beds, employs more than 3,000 health professionals and has annual operating revenues of approximately $330 million. Prospect Chartercare Health Partners includes an academic focus through Roger Williams Medical Centers teaching affiliation with the Boston University School of Medicine. Clinically, we are developing four centers of excellence cancer care, elder health, digestive diseases and behavioral health. Roger Williams Medical Center is a 220-bed hospital affiliated with 360 physicians. Our acclaimed cancer center provides a complete range of cancer treatment, including Rhode Islands only blood and marrow transplant program. In orthopedics, our hip and knee surgery programs have received national recognition from Blue Cross. Our Lady of Fatima Hospital is a 269-bed acute care facility specializing in a range of medical and surgical services. The hospital has one of the regions most advanced surgical facilities supporting busy programs in neurosurgery, orthopedics and urology. Fatima has won national recognition for its advanced diabetes treatment program and has received Joint Commission Gold Medal certification for several other clinical programs. The hospital is also home to specialty units for medical rehabilitation and for behavioral health, as well as an array of outpatient programs for wound care, hyperbaric medicine, womens health and wellness. Both hospitals, along with Elmhurst Extended Care, our nursing home and sub-acute affiliate, are accredited by The Joint Commission.
