About the Organization
Family Health Centers, Inc. has seven clinical locations throughout the Louisville Metro/Jefferson County area. Our mission is to provide quality health care to the uninsured and/or under-insured in our area. We are an outpatient ambulatory FQHC that is Joint Commission Accredited. We offer a wide variety of services including Pediatrics, Women's Health, Adult Care, Dental, Behavioral Health, Pharmacy, Case Management, X-Ray, Laboratory and more. We see patients from birth to the elderly. FHC also participates in the NHSC Loan Repayment program. Since we are not a hospital there are no hospital rounds. All FHC facilities are Patient Centered Medical Home facilities.
About the Community
Louisville is a beautiful city on the banks of the Ohio River. There are several great parks, a walking bridge, great music festivals all year round. Louisville also has lots to do for the sports enthusiast, baseball, basketball, marathons and of course the Kentucky Derby. There are all kinds of exciting gastro-pubs popping up all over town, especially in the Highlands. Their mix of local craft beer and fusion inspired foods have become legendary. Louisville also has a Science Center, the Louisville Bat Museum as well as other fun things to do. Louisville has some of the best schools in the state. Louisville also has the Waterfront Park for the kids and grown ups as well. There is always something exciting going on in Louisville.
