About the Organization
We are a non-profit organization formerly known as the Tennessee Rural Partnership. We were founded to provide healthcare to rural and underserved populations in Tennessee by recruiting and placing primary care clinicians in communities where care was needed most. This year, we expanded our focus to include other professions in the healthcare workforce such as nursing and allied health and increased our pipeline initiatives. To honor our expanded focus we changed our name to the Tennessee Center for Health Workforce Development.
Our core mission has not changed, however. We are dedicated to improving the health of Tennesseans by guiding healthcare workforce development and connecting the caregivers to the people
