Clarendon Health System is a district hospital of the state of South Carolina, this affords the medical staff many oportunities not available in other facilities. We do offer educational loan reimbursement to our employeed providers in addition to a competative benefits package. Our professional medical staff and nurses are a collaborative committed team who have a goal of increasing health awareness and providing quality, compassionate care to our patients. This facility opened in 1951 as an acute care hospital staffed by general practioners and a general surgeon.Today, we still offer exceptional primary care, with more than 20 primary care physicians, but we have also added specialty services delivered by both resident and visiting specialist physicians. In addition, we have broadened our services to include Home Health, Durable Medical Equipment, Long Term Care and a Wellness and Fitness Center.
About the Community
The city of Manning is the county seat of Clarendon County, and conveniently located just off I-95, about 80 minutes from Charleston, 90 minutes from Columbia, and 45 minutes from Florence SC. Home of the Annual Striped Bass Festival Mannings friendly small town atmosphere and proximity to Lake Marion makes it an attractive destination for families and recreational enthusiasts alike. In addition to Lake Marion known for its bass and catfish fishing, Clarendon County is home to numerous golf courses, the Santee National Wildlife Refuge, camping, hunting, hiking and abundant opportunities to enjoy our natural resources. Clarendon County is rich in history dating from its founding in 1785 and is the birthplace of Althea Gibson, Wimbledon Tennis Champion and the Amelia Bedelia childrens book author Peggy Parish.
