About the Organization
Wesley Medical Center is a 211 bed acute care facility caring for the heathcare needs of South MS residents. Our Medical Staff is made up of 200+ physicians representing a full array of speacialist and subspecialtist. We have been recognized repeatedly by The Joint Commission as a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures. Wesley is one of only 67 hospitals in the nation, and the only hospital in the state, to earn this distinction for their performance in the 4 primary categories of heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care for three years in a row. We are affiliated with William Carey University's DO Program and enjoy the presence of M3 and M4 students involved in clinical rotations. Hattiesburg is located 70 miles North of the MS Gulf Coast. It is a University community with University of Southern MS and William Carey University located here. Besides being convenient to beaches, shopping, sporting events, and performing arts, it offers a high quality of life only expected in larger cities.
