Mizell Memorial Hospital is an acute care hospital in Opp, AL and has been a part of the healthcare system in Covington County for over 70 years.
The hospital's services include general medical and surgical services, a 5 bed intensive care unit, a 24 hour emergency department, a community infusion center, and a senior behavioral care unit. Mizell Memorial Hospital also owns and operates four ambulatory care clinics including a specialty care center with orthopedics, otolaryngology, cardiology, and podiatry represented. Mizell also offers the services of the Wellness Center which include a community fitness center as well as outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapies.

Opp (population 6,793) is located in Covington County, Alabama. The county has approximately 37,524 residents. The unique city of Opp is located just 3 hours from Birmingham and only about 80 miles from the Florida Gulf coast. Opp is a family oriented community and home to an excellent K-12 school system (recently ranked in the top 20 school systems in the state), LBW Community College and many local churches. The town is also home to Lake Frank Jackson State Park, a premier fishing destination with a 1,000 acre stream-fed lake.
