Beauregard Health System has evolved since its humble beginning in 1950. Since then the growth has been steady and sure. About the Community
Located centrally in the state of Louisiana with easy access to the North and West to trophy fresh water fishing in both Toledo Bend Reservoir (one hour) and Sam Rayburn Reservoir (one hour) as well as premier saltwater fishing to the South in Calcasieu Lake and the Gulf of Mexico (one hour). All types of hunting are abundant in the area as well.
DeRidder has maintained its quant small town rural setting but is only a 2.5-hour drive to Houston to the West and a 2.5-hour drive to Shreveport to the North.
Long standing industries in the area are paper, plastic and chemical companies. Timber remains the largest industry in the area.
