Mariposa is in a federally designated medically underserved area and is a National Health Service Corps loan repayment site.
We are a well-established health and wellness organization serving Santa Cruz County in majestic SE Arizona. Headquartered in Nogales, just 65 miles south of Tucson, Mariposa CHC is guided by the belief that healthcare is a fundamental right, not a privilege, and should be made available to everyone. We have the honor of taking care of nearly half of the residents in our county, with the mission of making a positive difference in their lives and those of their families.
Mariposa provides services including internal & family medicine, obstetrics & gynecology, pediatrics, general dentistry, general surgery, behavioral health, wellness education, EMR with on-site trainers, lab services, digital x-ray, mammography & DEXA, ultrasound, telemedicine, and a full-service pharmacy. Mariposa has seven clinical sites that provide services to the community. We also offer free transportation to patients, free pharmacy deliveries, a WIC office for community members, community health workers that engage the community, a sliding fee scale for eligible patients, and more.
About the Community
Santa Cruz County offers sage, friendly and family-oriented environments where "a kid can be a kid." Schools are nurturing and high quality and people are involved in community activities and the arts, and opportunities for sports and recreation, from bicycling and hiking to fishing and horseback riding. The weather is consistently at a 70-degree average during the winter and a 90-degree average during the summer. Mariposa is in the heart of a tight-knit, supportive community that is family oriented and full of rich culture.
