Gordon Hospital, a 69-bed acute care facility in Calhoun, Georgia (North Georgia) is part of the Adventist Health System, the largest not-for-profit Protestant healthcare system in the United States. Gordon Hospital's primary service area is 102,000. Located on Interstate I-75, one hour north of Atlanta and forty-five minutes south of Chattanooga. This area offers a beautiful blending of rural/suburban southern living. Gordon Hospital is a physician-focused organization. A member of the Adventist Health System, the largest not-for-profit Protestant health system in the nation. We believe in providing our physician partners with the right kind of support to assure success in this challenging health care market. About the Community

In addition to the countys nine public schools, the city has five public and two private schools. The Calhoun area provides easy access to many colleges and universities. With Gordon Countys magnificent scenery serene lakes, breath-taking mountain views and flowing rivers it is no wonder that the great outdoors plays a prominent part in the lives of area residents. There is plenty of hunting, fishing, hiking, canoeing and biking in the nearby Chattahoochee National Forest, Salacoa Creek Park and Johns Mountain Wildlife Management Area.
