Skagit Valley Hospital is a 137-bed acute care regional community hospital in Mount Vernon, Washington. Key services include advanced diagnostics, surgical services, heart care, orthopedics, the Family Birth Center and cancer care. Skagit Valley Hospital also operates the Stanwood Health Clinic in Stanwood, Camano Community Health Clinic on Camano Island and the Skagit Valley Kidney Center on the Mount Vernon campus. The hospital is expanding to meet the needs of a growing community. A 220,000 square foot expansion project will more than double the size of the hospital, providing a new Emergency/Trauma unit, surgical services, critical care, Family Birth Center and private patient rooms. The new facility will open in Fall 2007. A new comprehensive cancer care center is also under construction at the Skagit Valley Hospital campus and slated to open in Fall 2006, featuring radiation and medical oncology and complementary therapies in a healing environment. Skagit Valley Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and is a member of the American Hospital Association and the Washington State Hospital Association.
