About the Organization
FirstHealth of the Carolinas is a community based health care system located in south central North Carolina. We are not-for-profit and currently have 3 hospitals in our system.
Moore Regional Hospital, our 385 bed flagship facility is located in the beautiful resort area of Pinehurst. All major specialties are on board including Open Heart, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Vascular, Bariatrics and Oncology. Our newest hospital - located in in Hoke County - is expected to open in October, 2013.
Richmond Memorial Hospital, our 99 bed community hospital is located in Rockingham and Montgomery Memorial Hospital is our 27 bed critical access hospital in Troy.
In addition to our hospitals, we also provide Hospice, Home Care, EMS services, have 5 outpatient rehab clinics for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology, have a 25 bed Inpatient Rehab, 7 Health and Fitness Centers, 3 Dental Health Clinics, 5 Family Practice Clinics, and a Convenient Care Clinic.
Centrally located in the state, we are about an hour from Raleigh, 2 hours from Charlotte, 2.5 hours from the beach and 3 hours from the mountains. Our family friendly communities are abundant with recreational opportunities including golf, tennis, equestrian activities, water sports, hiking and biking.
