About the Community
Riverside Medical Center, the regional medical center, is located in Kankakee, IL. Kankakee is located about 50 miles from downtown Chicago and less than 30 minutes from the southern suburbs. Situated on the Kankakee River, with a population of about 65,000 in the Kankakee/ Bourbonnais/Bradley area (100,000 in the county), with extensive growth in our primary and secondary service area population of more than 450,000 which includes communities of Frankfort, Manhattan, Manteno, Coal City, Watseka, Momence and several other beautiful and growing Midwestern communities.
