The DSH system consists of five unique facilities located throughout California: Central Coast, Napa Valley, Los Angeles, Inland Empire, and the Central San Joaquin Valley region. All five of the facilities are fully licensed, and some are accredited by the Joint Commission. There are two types of commitments to the state hospital in-patient facilities: forensic and civil. The dedicated DSH staff provide treatment to these patients in a variety of recovery-oriented methods, including: phase treatment, art and music therapy, rehabilitation, education, and community living skills. Each of our hospitals also serves as a good neighbor and active leader in the community. Employee groups frequently participate in community and civic events. As a part of the treatment opportunities, some groups of patients periodically contribute to community activities by donating arts or crafts from their therapy to support a community organization. We offer work-life balance with generous yearly paid time off and a flexible 40-hour work week. Our competitive compensation package includes a competitive salary, benefits, and retirement package.
