Pay Range: $ 64.64/hr - $ 75.96/hr
*May come in higher depending on applicable experience

**This position is open to both NP's and PA's**
**Radiology experience desired, but not required. Training provided.

PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Physician Assistant, (PA), under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director, and assigned Interventional Radiologist provides health care services. The PA provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventative healthcare service, as delegated by a physician. They will be clinically competent in physical assessment and acute management of the Radiology department patient. They need to provide direct patient care and education to patients, families, students, and nursing staff. The PA will report to the Director of the Radiology for all employee/employer/patient issues regarding departmental and organizational operations. The PA consistently demonstrates the core values of Enloe Medical Center and serves as a role model to other employees.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
- Graduate of a PA educational program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission (ARC) on Education for Physician Assistants OR current certification with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

Desired:
- One year clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in an acute care facility
- Recent Radiology experience

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
- Current California Physician Assistant License
- Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA), if not a graduate from an accredited ARC Physician Assistant educational program
- Current CPR recognition
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
- Meets Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to bill Medicare
- Credentialed through the Enloe Medical Staff and Finance Offices

Desired:
- Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA)

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must have the confidence and experience to work independently with diverse patient populations and experience in accessing specialty referrals and community resources. Must have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Must have the ability to lead, motivate, delegate, analyze information and problem solve. Behavior must be reflective of Enloe Medical Center core values.

* Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing
* Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the California Board of Registered Nursing
* Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner Furnisher with the California Board of Registered Nursing or proof of application within 12 months of hire
* Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number or proof of application
* Meets Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) criteria to bill Medicare
* Current AHA-HCP CPR recognition
* ACLS within 6 months of hire
* Credentialed through the Enloe Medical Staff office and Finance office
