Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and innovative Board Certified General Psychiatrist to join The Collective as the Medical Director that oversees our Maryland market, which is uniquely integrated with a local primary care organization. This role will be based out of our Gaithersburg and/or Frederick, MD locations (Washington, D.C. metro area).
About The Role
Report to the Chief Clinical Officer and partner closely with the leadership team to develop and implement strategies across the market to meet The Collectives short and long-term goals.
Engage as a thought leader with community resources, health plans, and strategic partners as an advocate for The Collectives integrative, multidisciplinary care model.
Review existing medical care standards, protocols, practices and policies; developing benchmarks to ensure that patients are receiving high quality care.
Implement Quality Assurance programs, including chart and performance reviews for Clinical Directors and clinicians; developing a system of peer review.
Foster a positive culture that improves client and clinician satisfaction.
Grow and maintain an exceptional clinical team; hiring, retaining, and coaching the best clinicians.
Develop educational, communication, and advocacy programs and forums for clinicians regarding quality, patient safety, leadership development, and clinical integration.
Provide direct care to patients in an outpatient clinical setting, either in-person or virtually.
The initial expectation will be appx 4 days/week of patient-facing care and 1 day/week of administrative responsibilities, and eventually shift to 1-2 days/week of patient-facing care and 3-4 days/week of administrative responsibilities after the first few months.

Qualifications
Maryland state licensure, DEA licensure, and ABPN board certification is required
2+ years of experience providing medical direction and supervision is highly preferred
Outpatient and/or private practice experience is highly preferred
Must demonstrate a high degree of integrity, a positive attitude, effective leadership abilities, and a passion for patient care and clinical excellence
Must value current evidence-based clinical practice and culturally-sensitive care
Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations
