Staff Nurse - Emergency Department (0.9 FTE - Nights/Every Weekend) - $8,000 Sign-On Bonus
HCMC has a current opening for a Staff Nurse in the Emergency Department.
This position is a 0.9 FTE (6 shifts/ pay period), 12-hour shifts, Nights, Every Weekend.
Note - This position is not eligible for a weekend bonus
A sign-on bonus ($8,000.00) is available for eligible external candidates (current employees, contract/temporary workers, and former employees returning to HHS within one year are ineligible).
Required COVID-19 Vaccinations for Employees

Within the context of the Hennepin County Medical Center "Centered Around You" Patient & Family Centered Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:
-Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health
-Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care
-Alleviating suffering through nursing interventions and prescribed treatments
-Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
-Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
-Educating patient on their disease process
-Assuring continuity of care
-Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being
2 years of inpatient med/surg RN experience
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota
Critical Care (ICU or ED) RN experience
Certification in area of clinical specialty
BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
