Job Description

Hennepin Healthcare has a current opening for a Staff Nurse in the Ambulatory Float Pool.

This position is a 0.8 FTE (8 shifts/ pay period), 8-hour shifts, Day/ Evening, Every Other Weekend.

The Ambulatory Float Pool provides interim support to 8 general practice clinics and 30-40 specialty clinics located at the main hospital campus and off-site locations throughout Hennepin County.

A $4,000 hiring incentive is available for eligible external candidates (current employees, contract/temporary workers, and former employees returning to HHS within one year are ineligible).

Required COVID-19 Vaccinations for Employees

Within the context of the Hennepin County Medical Center "Centered Around You" Patient & Family Centered Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:
*Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health
*Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care
*Alleviating suffering through nursing interventions and prescribed treatments
*Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
*Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
*Educating patient on their disease process
*Assuring continuity of care
*Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being

Minimum Qualifications:
*Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
*Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota

Preferred Qualifications:
*Certification in area of clinical specialty
*BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
