Job Description

Saratoga Hospital Medical Group Neurology seeks an experienced BE/BC Neurologist to work in a
Neurohospitalist role. Join a full time Advanced Practice Provider who provides in-hospital care currently, supported by Teleneurology coverage. This is a consultative service only. All in-patients are admitted to the hospitalist service.

Currently, the hospital utilizes a Teleneurology service that has managed nearly 2000 patient encounters including stat/stroke, new patients and follow-ups in 2021. The ideal Neurohospitalist position would cover Monday Friday, with evening/night and weekend coverage provided by the Teleneurology service.
Our service line includes two experienced Neurologists, one with Fellowship training in Epilepsy and another in Movement Disorders, with an experienced Advanced Practice Provider, one who works exclusively inpatient, currently supported by Teleneurology. We are recruiting for a third Neurologist to join this growing 100 % outpatient practice.

Our Neurology service line is supported by exceptional ancillary services: EEG, Echocardiography, 1.5 T MRI, 64-slice CT, software and more. Rehabilitation services include an array of inpatient and outpatient services, including PT, OT, speech therapy, videofluoroscopy of swallowing function, vestibular rehabilitation, and other specialty programs. Advanced imaging (including 3T MRI), lab, are offered at our ambulatory Wilton Medical Arts or Malta Medical Park location with infusion medicine and our largest outpatient Regional Therapy Center located there. Currently, EMG/NCV is offered by a community physician practice. However, this could be a practice offering, if desired.
Outpatient and Neurological subspecialists are available through our affiliate, Albany Med, an academic medical center in nearby Albany.
