Community Health Centers of Greater Dayton
As a member of the behavioral health team at Community Health Centers of Greater Dayton (CHCGD), the psychiatrist will function as a collaborator for the PMHNP and PCPs while working collaboratively with the Medical Director, Behavioral Health Director, Behavioral Health Consultants, Primary Care Physicians, and other administrative and operational staff to ensure continuity of care for patients meeting criteria for mental health, substance use, and other related psychiatric illnesses. This position will provide services and collaborative support for patients across the lifespan. This position will be scheduled 8-10 hours per week and is not benefits-eligible.
Required Skills or Abilities
Experience in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
Able to document and navigate EHR independently
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
Ability to effectively communicate in both written and oral expression with patients, team members, other CHCGD internal/external partners and associates displaying courtesy, tact, consideration and discretion in all interactions
Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work effectively on multidisciplinary team
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general and professional documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and be a resource to the team and organization overall
Ability to foster teamwork; train and direct the work of team members and colleagues
Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to work productively and make independent decisions.
Required Knowledge, Experience or Licensure/Registration
Medical Degree and Board Certification as a psychiatric provider required.
Must possess an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Ohio at time of application and valid DEA license. Must be CPR certified.
At least 5+ years of experience as a psychiatric provider required
Ability to work with both adult and youth/child populations
Experience in telemedicine - Preferred
Must be able to maintain credentials and licensure with all major insurance companies and licensing boards with the assistance of CHCGD credentialing staff.
