Job Description

BC/BE Critical Care Executive Medical Director physician wanted to join our growing, well-respected group with the full support of our award-winning hospital system, St. Elizabeth Healthcare. M.D., D.O. or M.D./Ph.D., board certified in critical care medicine.
Desired: MBA, MHA, MMM or similar graduate degree

Preferred Qualifications:
Training/Experience: At least three (3) years of active and sustained practice in Critical Care Medicine, as well as evidence of outstanding clinical responsibilities. Must have demonstrated significant leadership abilities; possess a demonstrated ability in management.
Desired: Established Medical Director with a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience.

Professional Time Distribution
It is expected that the individual selected will devote the majority of his/her time to this leadership position with the remainder being devoted to the clinical care of patients within [SEH] Critical Care service line. It is anticipated that the Medical Director will perform seven (7) critical care shifts per month.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Executive Medical Director will work collaboratively in a dyad leadership model with an administrative counterpart, Critical Care Nursing Director. The duties and responsibilities of the Executive Medical Director related to the Critical Care Service Line are to lead our critical care units, physicians, providers, nursing and support staff to the highest levels of clinical excellence and engagement.
