Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Needed for Locum Tenens ICU Night Coverage in AZ

Job Description

A facility in Arizona is seeking an Acute Care nurse practitioner for locum tenens coverage. The client will cover travel, lodging and malpractice.

The facility is located in the Grand Canyon state.

Assignment Details:

- Trauma & ICU experience is preferred (critical or acute care experience and is comfortable treating complex patients in close collaboration with our surgeons)

- 12-hour primary in-house night coverage

- Surgeons/APs respond to all trauma codes, emergency general surgery & round in the ICU (trauma patients only)

- Must have clean background, ATLS, BLS, AZ license and ACNP certification

- 1st assist & trauma experience is preferred

- At least 1 year of experience in Trauma/ED and ICU

- Level I Trauma Center, Level II (ACS)

- ED volume: 55k; 33 beds

- Average Trauma admits 1,750 per year

- Average Trauma Team Activations per year: 1,004

- 14 days of EGS call per month

- 20 ICU beds, additional 10 medical ICU beds

- 8 ORs (2 designated for trauma)

Case Load/PPD: 20/ppd

Shift Type: Night Shift

Assignment Type: Inpatient

Assignment Duration: Locums

Shift Times: 12-hour nights, 7pm-7am
