General Surgeon and Wound Care Physician

Due to volume and demand, Regional Healthcare is seeking a General Surgeon and Wound Care Physician to join their well-established practice outside Dallas, TX. A hospital employed physician group, this position will be part of a multi-specialty group that provides Primary Care, Neurology, Thoracic/Vascular, Gastroenterology, Urology, and General Surgery. The Specialist will enjoy a strong collaborative environment; full hospital support, and an emphasis on quality patient care.

Education/Certification/Experience:

Medical degree (MD or DO)

Board certified (or eligible) by the American College of Surgeons

Texas licensed (or eligible)

Experience with Wound Care

Practice Details:

Outpatient Inpatient Wound Care

Wound Care FNP

10 days per month of General Surgery ER call

No General Surgery outpatient clinic

2 hyberbaric chambers

Experienced hyberbaric technician

Licensed WOCN Home Health Nurse

Built in referral network


Regional Medical Center:

178 bed facility

Over 65,000 annual ER visits

2 satellite ERs

Level IV Trauma

24-7 hospitalist coverage

5 ORs (expanding to 8 ORs)

16 ICU beds
