Certified Registered Respiratory Therapist - McLeod Health Cheraw

Job Summary

This job consists of direct patient care and the provision of Respiratory Care procedures in all areas within the facility. The Respiratory Therapist also evaluates patient care and makes recommendations when needed.

Work Schedule
PRN (hours as needed).

Department Description
Services may include, though are not limited to, arterial blood gases, pulmonary function tests including plethysmography, mechanical ventilation, airway care, neonatal regional transport, attendance at high risk deliveries, oxygen therapy, aerosolized medical delivery, bronchia hygiene, and patient and family education. Respiratory Care Services are performed in the department, at the patient's bedside, or any other area within the medical center.

Education/ Qualifications Required

Minimum of an Associates degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited school
Certified Respiratory Therapist
Respiratory Care practitioner by the SC Board of Medical Examiners
BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications must be completed within 3 months of hire and/or graduation date for adult care therapists
Experience Required

2 years or more experience in Respiratory Care preferred.
