The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group, PC (MAPMG) has an immediate need for a Fellowship Trained, Board Eligible/Certified Cornea Surgeon with strong cataract surgical skills to join our growing team of Ophthalmologists. Experience challenging cases, immediate access to primary care and specialist physician consults and freedom from prior authorizations and RVU's. A full-time opportunity is available at the Kaiser Permanente Woodlawn Medical Center, located north of Baltimore, MD. Surgeries will be performed at our Ambulatory Surgery Center at the South Baltimore Medical Center in Halethorpe, MD.
Our multi-specialty team includes a retina surgeon, neuro-ophthalmologist and 2 general ophthalmologists spanning the growing Baltimore service area, in which over 124,000 patients are enrolled. Our department collaborates closely with our in-house optometrists. Support is provided by our highly trained ophthalmology technician staff who are required to have and maintain COA or COT certification. Nighttime and weekend on-call duties are shared equally by all surgeons of the group, other than the retina surgeon, who is on a separate call rotation.
2-3 Years of experience in Cornea preferredafter fellowship training
Proficient in cataract and cornea surgery
Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of MD, DC and VA
Ability to obtain a DEA for all jurisdictions as well as Controlled Substance licenses in MD and DC.
