Job Description

Adolescent Medicine Faculty Physician
Joseph M. Sanzari Childrens Hospital
Hackensack University Medicine Center

The Department of Pediatrics and Section of Adolescent Medicine at the Joseph M. Sanzari Childrens Hospital is seeking a full-time Adolescent Medicine Faculty physician. The position is focused on sub-specialty care to adolescents with eating disorders, reproductive health disorders, and obesity.

The ideal candidate would have experience with transgender health, specifically puberty-blocking and gender-affirming hormone initiation and management. Additionally should have expertise working in multidisciplinary teams with medical students, pediatric residents, therapists, psychiatrists, and nutritionists.

The role will include outpatient clinical care at the faculty practice sub-specialty clinic Joseph M. Sanzari Childrens Hospital, with inpatient consults. Currently the Adolescent Medicine program delivers comprehensive outpatient eating disorders treatment for adolescents and young adults with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and related eating concerns, and provides inpatient medical stabilization. We are seeking a leader for the Eating Disorder program to work in conjunction with the current adolescent medicine provider.

The applicant must be eligible for a New Jersey license and BC/BE in Adolescent Medicine. Academic rank at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall University is commensurate with accomplishments, scholarship, and national recognition.
