Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth is a 707-bed facility serving a population of over 2.5 million. Located in the Medical District, Texas Health Fort Worth is a regional referral center for 26 counties, with transfers and referrals from as far away as El Paso, Texas and parts of Oklahoma. It has a census of about 600 patients per day with the largest Neuro ICU in the state of Texas and a full complement of Neurocritical care physicians. 27 ORs currently exist with opportunity for ASC cases within the system as well. A full spectrum of neurosurgical equipment is on site with two O-arms, eight Stealth units, Brainlab Curve navigation units and robotics. The facility is presently an ACS designated Level II Trauma Center but is working toward a Level I designation. Texas Health Fort Worth has a robust emergency department with 100 beds and more than 90,000 and is currently adding a $400 million hospital tower to include 144 additional beds and new ORs. The new tower would also include intra-operative MRI and integrated Neurosurgical suites and a hybrid suite. Currently, three are three biplane suites. The facility is consistently ranked #1 or #2 in the state of Texas in Spine volumes, #2 or #3 in Tumor volumes, and #1 in Stroke volumes, with over 2,000 cases annually. Texas Health Fort Worth has Joint Commission certifications for its Tumor and Spine, and is designated as one of only two Comprehensive Stroke Centers in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area.
There is a backlog for new patients to be seen. This, along with population growth in surrounding communities of Tarrant County, indicates a great need for additional neurosurgeons in this city.
Sorry, our opportunities cannot sponsor a J-1 visa waiver and this position is not open to outside recruiting firms.
Physicians employed by Texas Health Physicians Group are not employed by a Texas Health Resources hospital.
