Job Description
We are looking for senior biomedical algorithm engineers to work on novel methods in biosensing to extract new sources of information from both commodity and next generation sensing modalities. We have large data sets representing thousands of human trials and we arent stopping. We need you to assist our current data team to tame this data and uncover its secrets.
Required Education and Experience:
Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering (or similar relevant field) with 1+ years of relevant industry experience OR Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant industry experience
Programming experience in Matlab or Python sufficient to carry out responsibilities
Experience working with data from early stage biosensor prototypes, including protocol design, working with human subjects, documenting experiments, and refining procedures
Experience with Statistical Methodologies necessary to evaluate candidate algorithm solutions including ANOVA, Design of Experiments, Hypothesis Testing
Experience with Standard Signal Processing Techniques including filter design and frequency domain analysis
Experience with Classification Techniques including LDA/QDA, SVM, Logistic Regression
Experience with Regression Techniques including Lasso, Ridge Regression, SVR
Effective Oral and Written Communication Skills, We are looking for team members who can give concise presentations detailing what theyve done to the data, what assumptions theyve made, how they evaluated the performance, and why the their chosen methods worked or didnt work
Strong mathematical skills
Data hygiene experience including the development of automatic QA/QC methods and outlier methodologies
Experience in PPG (Photoplethysmography), NIRS and/or other non-invasive optical techniques
Experience using Motion data arising from IMUs
Desired:
Experience with wearable bio sensors and the various problems that arise from using sensors on freely moving subjects
An understanding of Human Physiology
Experience conducting Human Clinical Trials
Experience with Motion Classification
Working knowledge of git or svn; specifically via GitHub
Experience with Data Visualization
Documented experience bringing a product to market
Experience with skin temperature measurements
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $80,000.00 to $150,000.00 /year
