Founded 100 years ago, Mercy Health Youngstown Market (formerly Humility of Mercy Health Partners) is composed of three hospitals; St. Elizabeth Youngstown, St. Joseph Warren and St. Elizabeth Boardman; Home Health Services; The Assumption Village; Humility House, and Hospice of the Valley. _x000D_

The Market CMO will serve as a full-time physician leader and join the executive leadership team for Mercy Health Youngstown with responsibility as the site CMO for St. Elizabeth Youngstown hospital. The CMO will participate with other members of the executive management team to develop and implement the organization's overall business strategy and yearly goals; lead Mercy Health Youngstown's medical staff in developing effective clinical operations that provide quality health care for the community; and provide clinical perspective in policy development and clinical operating decisions for the hospital and the market. _x000D_

The site CMOs located at St. Elizabeth Boardman and St. Joseph Warren have a dual reporting structure to their respective hospital Presidents and to the Market CMO who will provide direction in maximizing the efficiency of their respective clinical operations. _x000D_

Market Chief Medical Officer Qualifications:_x000D_


_x000D_


- Medical degree from an accredited Osteopathic or Allopathic medical school and residency from an accredited program required. Board certification required._x000D_


- Master's degree in health administration, medical management or business administration highly preferred._x000D_


- A minimum of 10 years recent successful clinical practice experience._x000D_


- Demonstrated leadership ability in effective management roles and/or medical staff leadership positions in a hospital or health system with matrixed organizational structure preferred._x000D_


- Thorough knowledge of hospital medical practice operations and Graduate Medical Education (GME) including Residency programs._x000D_


- Knowledge of strategic and operational planning, quality, health care economics, financial management, personnel administration, regulatory requirements, and current trends in the health care industry._x000D_


- Experience leading patient experience and cultural safety initiatives._x000D_


- Proven ability to lead and influence change management._x000D_


- Ability to plan, implement and monitor processes in a complex health care environment, including knowledge of hospital ICD-10 coding/billing/documentation._x000D_


- Must be a collaborative team player with proven interpersonal and influencing skills._x000D_
