Job Description

If youre excited by the prospect of practicing primary care with a community health system in a region that blends urban sophistication with the ambiance of small town New England we have a great opportunity for you.

Who we are:

Were Tufts Medical Center Community Care, formerly known as Hallmark Health Medical Associates looking for a primary care physician to join our multi-specialty team of more than 90 providers in 10 communities less than 10 miles north of Boston. As part of MelroseWakefield Healthcare, were able to offer the benefits of a large provider network while maintaining the intimacy and personal satisfaction of a small practice environment. Our system includes two community hospitals: MelroseWakefield Hospital with 234 beds and Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford with 134 beds. We are located in close proximity to Boston, some of the best beaches in Massachusetts, as well as hiking and skiing in the mountains to the north. Our communities boast excellent restaurants and school systems, making it a very attractive place to live. We are committed to building and sustaining a strong, vibrant and healthy community.

About the job:
The Regional Float position has the opportunity to work closely with our VP of Operations and Business Managers to ensure continuity of care for our patients. This unique opportunity allows the candidate to work in many diverse environments, with the option to return to a full-time position if needs change.

We are seeking a family medicine or internal medicine physician with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience for the position. We have 25 out-patient sites in 10 of Bostons northern communities, all within a 10 mile radius of each other. This position is unique in that the schedule can be flexible, and part-time or full-time hours can be negotiated.

The Regional Float position may manage a panel in the interim if a provider is on temporary leave, leaves our system permanently, or if a new position is created. Coverage by the Regional Float would be arranged for any physician vacancy; coverage scenarios and locations may change on a daily basis based on patient care needs. Travel time to reach a care site other than the designated primary work station will be accounted for by adjusting the Regional Floats clinic schedule. The ability to travel throughout our service area on a daily basis to provide coverage is considered essential to the position. Private vehicle usage will be reimbursed based on mileage.

Benefits of joining our team:
Competitive compensation package
Full malpractice coverage from the day you start, including tail coverage
Excellent call schedule
Physician mentoring and commitment to practice support
Fully integrated EMR
Focus on quality, panel size and coordination of care, not just productivity
Access to two highly regarded hospitals that provide 24/7 hospitalist coverage
