The Arthur Smith Institute for Urology at Northwell Health is seeking a physician leader for the position of Chief, Urology at Peconic Bay Medical Center. Responsibilities and tasks of the role include: • Working with the chair on all matters related to clinical operations • Ensure high quality patient care through development and standardization of care processes and protocols • Continue to develop a culture of scholarship in quality improvement, health equity and outcomes • Ensure the productivity of physician faculty and support staff • Maintain and improve upon the excellence within the department Candidate Qualifications • M.D. Degree or equivalent from an accredited College of Medicine • Completion of residency and fellowship with Board Certification or eligibility • Currently licensed as a physician in the State of New York • Outstanding communication and management skills, and an ability to work collaboratively with medical staff, hospital management, and staff • Previous division, department, or program leadership Peconic Bay Medical Center Founded in 1951 as Central Suffolk Hospital, Peconic Bay Medical Center is the largest hospital in Eastern Suffolk County, and the Eastern Hub of Northwell Health, the largest healthcare organization in New York State.
