Job Description AFC Urgent Care, Warrington, PA is searching for full-time staff physicians for its new center. AFC Urgent Care provides high-quality walk-in medical care for the treatment of acute illnesses and injuries that are non life-threatening. Our state-of-the-art centers feature multiple exam rooms, digital x-rays, and an on-site laboratory (that includes hematology and chemistry testing). Our centers are open weekdays from 8am to 8pm and weekends from 8am to 5pm. Position Description Physicians are primarily responsible for the provision of high quality medical care to our urgent care and occupational medicine patients. Physicians must also: actively manage all aspects of patient care while on-shift; supervise and direct the center’s other clinical staff; ensure that all charts are accurately completed in a timely manner; and adhere to all clinical policies and protocols. Qualifications Passionate about the practice of medicine; Board-certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine; Prior urgent care experience; Familiarity with occupational medicine; Comfort and experience treating patients of all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics; Clinical ability to suture lacerations, set minor fractures, drain abscesses, and read x-rays; Clean medical malpractice record; Effective and compassionate communicator with staff, patients, and family; Willingness to mentor clinical staff; Highly professional appearance and attitude; Process biological specimens when needed; Active and current DEA number and state controlled substance certificate, as needed. Able to multi-task effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment; High-energy individual with a positive attitude; and Comfortable working with electronic medical records.
