Jefferson Radiology, established in 1963, is a 64 physician, partner-owned sub-specialty group practice in Hartford, CT. The all-digital practice, with enterprise PACS capabilities, interprets close to 1 million exams per year. As the largest radiology private practice in the state of Connecticut, Jefferson Radiology is looking to recruit a fellowship trained breast imaging radiologist to join our growing organization. Jefferson Radiology has ten private outpatient offices with multiple modalities offered in each one. We are the exclusive provider of Radiology Services for eight hospitals in Connecticut and Massachusetts. These include Hartford Hospital, an 850-bed tertiary care facility and major teaching hospital, Connecticut Children's Medical Center, as well as 6 community hospitals in Central and Eastern Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. The ideal candidate for this position will be interested in working predominantly in breast imaging. Candidates must be comfortable with interpreting screening and diagnostic mammography, as well as breast ultrasound, diagnostic breast MRI and tomosynthesis. Incumbents will be expected to perform stereotactic as well as ultrasound and MRI guided biopsies and needle localizations. Candidates with post fellowship experience and active Connecticut or Massachusetts licenses are preferred. The breast section performs approximately 50,000 screening mammography examinations annually, over 5,000 breast ultrasounds and has an active breast MRI practice. Jefferson Radiology has a close relationship with area surgeons and oncologists. We perform a high volume of breast biopsy and needle localization procedures.
