McLeod Regional Medical Center (MRMC) is a 500-provider multispecialty group system that seeks board certified or board eligible neuro interventional radiologists, endovascular neurosurgeon, or an endovascular trained neurologist, to join its growing neuroscience specialty practice in Florence, SC. MRMC is the principal provider of advanced, innovative, and interdisciplinary neurological services, and is the only Regional Level II Trauma Center and DNV Primary Stroke Certified Center with a Neuro and Surgical ICU. Our program is staffed with board-certified and fellowship-trained neurointensivists and critical care specialists and offers the most comprehensive neurological treatment from the Midlands to the Coast of NC and SC. As the regional provider of advanced neurological services, MRMC neurointerventional providers have the opportunity to care for patients with complex neurovascular conditions to include comprehensive stroke and other endovascular services, complex spine conditions, spine and brain trauma, a variety of neuro-oncology diagnoses, as well as elective cases. McLeod Regional Medical Center promotes collaboration with a team of neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, vascular neurologists, neurologists, and oncologists. MRMC has a well-established Neurointerventional Bi-plane X-Ray Suite, used for the emergency treatment of stroke patients, and is equipped with the most advanced medical imaging technologies available and interventional stroke and aneurysm procedures. MRMC currently has 100 critical care beds including, 20 bed Stroke and Medical ICU, a 20 bed CVICU, and 20 bed CICU. This position will lead, support, and develop the Neuroscience Center of Excellence which include a 20 bed Neuro and Trauma ICU and 20 neuroscience progressive step-down beds. McLeod Health will convert its EMR to EPIC, in both inpatient and outpatient setting in December 2022.
