Job Description
The Kennedy Krieger Institute and the Department of Psychiatry at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and the Department of Mental Health at The Johns Hopkins School of Public Health invite applications for a mid-career faculty member with expertise in the field of child traumatic stress The Kennedy Krieger Institute is dedicated to helping children and adolescents with developmental and behavioral disorders. It is a research, clinical, and educational institute with a dynamic and multidisciplinary team of professionals. Faculty members at Kennedy Krieger hold academic appointments at Johns Hopkins University and are international leaders in their respective fields. The position will be primarily based at the Kennedy Krieger Institute's Family Center. The Family Center is a clinical and academic program that delivers evidence-based treatment to children who have experienced acute and/or complex psychological trauma. The Family Center serves over 1000 patients each year. This position represents a unique opportunity to interface between Kennedy Krieger, a non-profit research and clinical institute and Johns Hopkins University. This position includes a faculty appointment at Johns Hopkins with all of the responsibilities and privileges of being a faculty member. The academic rank will be commensurate with prior scholarly achievements. Job Requirements The successful candidate will be an individual with a durable track record of securing extramural funding and will also be a licensed clinician with evidence of program development. Clinical license could be in the field of psychiatry, psychology or related field.
