Pediatric Palliative Care Physician The Division of Hospitalist Medicine at Children’s National Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE pediatric palliative care physician to join our growing palliative care team. The palliative care program at Children’s National is a multidisciplinary team consisting of an MD, NP, case manager, part time social worker and part time program director. Over the past 3 years the program has grown significantly. The team provides palliative care services for children from Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Services include inpatient consults, outpatient clinic visits, and oversight of pediatric palliative care at local home hospice programs. Located in the nation’s capital Children’s National provides the opportunity to be involved in advocacy, cutting edge research, and education of trainees from several different medical schools and palliative care fellows from local hospice programs. Children’s National is a 331-bed free standing children’s hospital in Washington, DC. The Division of Hospitalist Medicine consists of over 80 providers who care for hospitalized children at the main campus and at five community sites located in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
