UC Davis Children’s Hospital School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics Division of Nephrology The Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, Davis, is seeking a full-time academic Pediatric Nephrologist. The UC Davis Children’s Hospital provides a full complement of services throughout Northern California. The recruited candidate will join three full-time Pediatric Nephrologists in providing care in an expanding clinical and academic program. This position is open at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank (commensurate with credentials) in the Clinical Pediatrics or Health Science Clinical Professor series. Proven excellence in clinical care and teaching is required. Opportunities for research are available depending on the series, experience and qualification of the candidate. Several intramural research awards (with guaranteed protected time) are available to junior faculty to apply for. Basic qualifications include an M.D. degree, board eligible / board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Nephrology, eligibility for licensure in the State of California and proven excellence in clinical care and teaching. Sacramento is an easily accessible, friendly, family-oriented, moderate sized city in beautiful northern California. It is in very close proximity to Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the California coast, Napa Valley and San Francisco.
