Title: Pediatrician Location: Columbia, SC- part of Ryan White Part D program Company Overview: Eau Claire Cooperative Health Centers, Inc. (ECCHC) has been serving the midlands area since 1981. Description: Our physicians are a key member of the ECHC multi-disciplinary healthcare team. Primary, preventive, and episodic care is compassionately delivered, being mindful of the patients’ medicines, rights and responsibility. The clinical program is divided into units fostering a team approach to care. The physician will assume an active role at the site becoming involved with quality improvement activities, meetings, and other team building efforts. This physician will work out of our primary care office and will see patients with the illness of HIV or AIDS. The physician will partner with the program coordinator and case managers to support the patient and their family. Clinic Overview: Schedule: Monday-Friday Patients per day: 15-20 EMR- Athena Age range: newborn- 18 Primary Job Duties Prepares medical histories and examines patients who present to the facility seeking medical services. Diagnoses medical disorders and administers medical treatment services to patients. Documents the medical record in the SOAPS format with care plan inclusive of non-pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical treatment, diagnostic testing as appropriate, age-appropriate anticipatory guidance and reassessments intervals. The “E” will included targeted education regarding illness treatment and when appropriate lifestyle modification. Develops Rapport with patients striving to build a physician-patient partnership that facilitates marked familiarity with patients medical and treatment history, and care needs and social factors as a means to manage patients risk factors and improve patient outcomes. Directs coordination of care based on patients health, treatment, and social needs. Interprets laboratory tests, assesses other diagnostic test reports developing appropriate care plan and monitoring their effectiveness Provides medical supervision to support staff in implementing the plan of care and patient triage. Provides encounter information necessary for billing purposes. ( i.e. indicating appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes for services rendered.) Establishes an effective working relationship with public and private physicians and other clinical care referral resources. Supervises physician extenders and professional students during clinical rotation at ECCHC. Assumes an active membership role in national, state and local medical societies. Takes hospital call unless otherwise arranged under special provisions. Performs other duties as assigned by the medical director. Education and Experience: Must have successfully completed medical training at a (4) four year, accredited medical school and received and received a M.D. or D.O. degree. Board eligibility or Board certification required. Must be a licensed physician in good standing Must maintain the required amount of CME to meet licensure and specialty board requirements Must maintain DEA and controlled substance registration I good standing. Current BLS certification required ACLS preferred PALS preferred Open to new graduate physician Prefer at least 2 years of experience working in clinical setting.
