Pediatric Gastroenterologist The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in New Orleans, is seeking an academic Pediatric Gastroenterologist specialist to join our faculty group at the rank of Assistant Professor, Clinical Pediatrics (non-tenure, clinical track). Position primary practice locations will be Children’s Hospital locations in Baton Rouge, LA. The Department boasts approximately eighty faculty members representing all pediatric sub-specialties. Training programs include an annual medical school class of two hundred and approximately one hundred post-graduate trainees in categorical pediatrics, medicine-pediatrics, child neurology, combined pediatrics and emergency medicine and most pediatric sub-specialty fellowship areas. The successful candidate will participate in a broad range of pediatric gastroenterology activities. Educational responsibilities include supervision and instruction of medical students, residents and other learners from the multi-disciplinary LSUHSC community. Faculty members are expected to contribute to the advancement of scholarly or educational activities within the Department. There are abundant opportunities for educational, clinical, translational, and quality and outcomes research initiatives across the health sciences center.
