UK King's Daughters is a 465-bed regional referral center in Ashland, KY. We are part of the University of Kentucky healthcare system. We operate more than 40 primary care clinics in outlying areas of Kentucky and Ohio which refer patients from a service area of 750,000 people to our main campus for testing and treatment. Next month, we will complete a $150 million construction project on campus, which includes a new main entrance, a brand-new ER and an all-new Imaging Department. Currently, we have three ENTs, and we are searching for another to join this hospital-employed practice. The offer includes a guaranteed salary of $550,000 plus productivity bonuses based on wRVUs. Income potential is in the $600-800K range. A signing bonus and student loan repayment are available as well. The physician will earn excellent benefits including health, vision, dental and life insurance, long-term disability, and 401k/403b retirement plans. The physician will also receive six weeks of vacation annually, an additional week for CME, and $5,000 for CME expenses. Ashland, KY is a town of about 25,000 people, located along the Ohio River. We have a nice town with minimal traffic, a beautiful and very active performing arts theater, an indoor tennis center, a large downtown park, and boutique shopping. Our Tri-State region (Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia) is renowned for safe, family-friendly communities with an excellent cost of living. Our region also has some of the country's finest state parks that feature golf, boating, fishing, hunting and biking. We have four seasons, all of which are relatively mild. We are also a short drive to metro cities in Ohio (Cincinnati and Columbus) and Kentucky (Lexington and Louisville). We are located about 20 minutes from Huntington, WV, the home of Marshall University. And, about two hours away in West Virginia, there is excellent snow skiing and the New River Gorge National Park, which offers multiple outdoor activities such as whitewater rafting, rock climbing, and hiking.
