Oncology Research: Program Manager - Details Job category Other: Clinical Support Location Nashville, TN (37205) Job type Full-time Salary (approximate) $120,000.00 per year Job description The Manager, Cancer Program provides administrative leadership to a specialized Oncology Clinical Program. In collaboration with physician and clinical leadership, the Manager, Cancer Program is responsible for developing and coordinating comprehensive and integrated disease site specific oncology program pathways, processes and quality metrics across the enterprise. He/she works with market/division leadership to implement programs, and supports delivery of leading- quality, cost-effective, efficient care. The Manager, Cancer Program provides training and development of employees e.g. Navigators. The Manager, Cancer Program also acts as a consultant to the markets/divisions and facilities, facilitating an interdisciplinary approach to achieve positive outcomes through physician-led, patient centered care. He/she is also ensures lasting organizational change and adherence to the programs through metric measurement and reporting outcomes to division and Sarah Cannon leadership. Duties and Responsibilities: Duties include but are not limited to: Version: 1 Date revised: 26May2015 Page 1 of 4 • • • • • • • • Develops and coordinates, in collaboration with physician and clinical leaders, comprehensive and integrated disease site specific oncology pathways, processes and quality metrics across the Sarah Cannon enterprise that align with the Sarah Cannon vision, mission statement, and strategic plan Leads the disease site specific workgroups at the Leadership (corporate) and Market levels in collaboration with Regional Vice Presidents and physician leaders Develops enterprise, market and facility goals regarding clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, market share and financial performance Oversees the work, projects and processes of various staff in development of the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center of Excellence toolkits Communicates, represents and influences HCA Cancer program physicians across the enterprise and administrators in implementing Sarah Cannon Cancer centers of excellence Ensures cancer program toolkit quality and effective communication in deploying the Sarah Cannon Center of Excellence Toolkits Works closely with the Sarah Cannon navigation and patient experience leaders in creating comprehensive cancer program processes Creates feedback loops to ensure programs are continually meeting the needs of the enterprise and creates action plans for enhancements; collaborates with reporting team to ensure dashboards are developed and communicated Version: 1 Date revised: 26May2015 Page 2 of 4 • • • • • Advocate and champion excellence in the provision of care Self-direct including prioritization of multiple simultaneous tasks Openly and supportively communicate both verbally and in written media Maintain strict confidentiality Seek regular input from team members and other stakeholders on strengths and areas for development within the program Job Description Manager, Cancer Program • Facilitates focus groups with the cancer programs to ensure toolkits are meeting the programmatic needs • Communicates with all levels of Sarah Cannon leadership, clinicians, physicians, and ancillary department staff that is essential for program development in the hospital community setting • Optimizes the continuum of care and create programs that will reduce the risk of patient outmigration • Collaborates with the Sarah Cannon/HCA IT team to create online toolkits • Collaborates with the Sarah Cannon / HCA IT team to create online feedback mechanisms with the HCA enterprise programs • May require up to 25% travel Mandatory: • Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement” • During your employment with SCRI you will be routinely assigned training requirements. Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching.
