Saint Peter's University Hospital was founded in 1907 and is part of the Saint Peter's Healthcare System formed in 2007 that also includes the Saint Peter's Foundation and Saint Peter's Health and Management Services Corporation, which oversees various initiatives (the Margaret McLaughlin McCarrick Care Center, CARES Surgicenter, and Adult Day Center in Monroe). Saint Peter's University Hospital is a state-designated children's hospital and regional perinatal center, an affiliate of The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and is sponsored by the Diocese of Metuchen. Director, Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology As a Regional Perinatal Center of Central New Jersey affiliated with Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia with approximately 5600 deliveries per year, Saint Peter's University Hospital currently has an exceptional full-time opportunity for a Director of General Obstetrics and Gynecology. The Director will oversee a division which supervises the education and clinical activities of a fully approved residency program with 5 residents per year. In addition, divisional clinical and administrative duties involve all aspects of general obstetrics and gynecology including staffing and supervising labor delivery; inpatient obstetrics and gynecologic services; major and minor gynecologic surgeries; and co-managing the ambulatory and high-risk obstetrical patients assigned to Maternal-Fetal Medicine or Women's Ambulatory Care Services. In-house evening and weekend coverage is required with the following day off duty. Board Certification or eligibility required. Faculty appointments are available through Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Academic responsibilities include didactic and clinical teaching of residents and medical students. Support available from Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery is available. Research opportunities are available and include involvement with the Maternal Fetal Medicine Units Network as a member of the Columbia University sub-unit.
