A 300+ bed community hospital in southeastern Virginia is seeking two Neurologists to join their hospital employed medical group. One with a focus on movement disorders and the other general neurology. EEG with minimal EMG. The medical staff is in strong support of the addition and the new physician would enjoy a large referral base. The hospital is willing to offer an income guarantee with productivity incentives to help establish the provider in practice. This is an excellent opportunity to have a busy practice in a community that the whole family will enjoy. Able to do EMGs and full scope of practice for General Neurologist. Build outpt. business and help with inpt. Call. Work with new midlevel provider who is coming soon. Help develop new Neurosciences Inst. Each Neurologist has one week of hospital call during the month (Friday to Friday- 24/7). It is unrestricted hospital call that is not compensated if you come in but part of the contract and responsibility of being on the medical staff. So the Neurologist who has their week of hospital call during the month, also covers practice call for both practices for “after hrs. call”, during that same week of his inpt. Call responsibility: The number of calls is insignificant according to the providers. So the providers are able to see office patients 3 weeks out of the month. You’ll be a Hospital employed physician with a guaranteed base income, 3-year employment contract, Vacation. You’ll also receive a comprehensive benefit package; CME/1 week.
