Large Healthcare system is currently seeking a BC/BE, Stroke Fellowship-Trained Neurologist to join its stroke team. The stroke team already has one stroke neurologist and two vascular neurosurgeons. Join the Department of Neurology and obtain an academic appointment at the University School of Medicine that provide an opportunity to collaborate with basic scientists and to educate medical students and residents. Currently there are ten Neurologists with subspecialty representation in neuromuscular disease, epilepsy, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, headache, stroke, neuro-ophthalmology, sleep and 3 pediatric neurologists and three advanced practice practitioners. Position provides the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in Neurosurgery, Neuroradiology, Neuropsychology, and Physician Medicine and Rehabilitation, five neurosurgeons, four neuro-radiologists, and four neuropsychologists. Neurosurgery has the capacity of performing deep brain stimulation for movement disorders. There is a long-term pediatric and adult epilepsy monitoring unit that is being developed. The healthcare system provides strong infrastructure that supports clinical research. Position comes with an academic appointment at the University School of Medicine and has the opportunity to collaborate with basic scientists and to educate medical students and residents.
