Physician Utilization Review Pensacola Florida pd Physicians - Utilization Management Position is hospital based and full time days, no telecommuting Excellent opportunity to be part of an organization where you can apply your practical working knowledge as a Physician for solutions that will change the way hospitals solve their administrative challenges. 2 positions in Panhandle of Florida and North Central Florida Job Summary: When requested (hospital or committees) physician will evaluate the medical necessity, appropriateness, and quality of care that patients of all ages receive when hospitalized. Will work with physicians on an ongoing basis to inform, educate, and advise regarding patient care and hospital operations and changes. Analyze data to determine areas of improvement for the hospital and medical staff. Provide medical expertise for determining community, hospital, and patient needs to improve overall medical care provided within the community. Requirements: Seeking Florida licensed Physician Clinical practice experience (any area is fine I was told) with understanding of utilization review, case management, quality management, and resource control. Someone who has served as medical staff department chairman and/or Medical Executive Committee. Demonstrated cost efficient practice Experience preferred in performance improvement process, data analysis, computers, and communication skills. Must have utilization management experience Understanding of state and federal regulations Knowledge about the denials and appeals process Experience with physician documentation and electronic health records Prefer board certification in ABQARP
