Job Description

We are currently seeking a Chief of Genetics and Metabolism. The division has a long history of clinical and academic excellence. There is potential for growth of the Division due to new community hospital network affiliations, and this is an exciting opportunity to lead this phase of program development. In addition, there are plans to re-open the Medical Genetics Fellowship program and Combined Maternal Fetal Medicine and Medical Genetics Fellowship program. The candidates should have experience in dysmorphology, prenatal genetic and cancer genetic counseling and will work with a number of physicians, trainees, genetic counselors, and administrative support personnel within the Division. The position requires strong interpersonal and clinical skills and involves evaluation of patients of all ages with genetic conditions, including pregnant women, newborn infants, children, and adults at The Floating Hospital at Tufts Medical Center as well as at satellite centers throughout Massachusetts. Research experience and an interest in clinical and translational research will be considered as a strong asset for prospective candidates. The Department of Pediatrics is rapidly expanding with new academic and clinical programs and sustained network growth throughout New England. The Floating Hospital for Children, a 100-bed full service children’s hospital is part of Tufts Medical Center, a 451 bed institution which is the principal teaching hospital for Tufts University School of Medicine.
